The journey of Mr. Simarprit Singh began with a B.Com (statistics) and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications. Excited by the prospects of the IT industry, he started his career as a Research Associate at NIIT.

Then he went on to become an entrepreneur and set up DISC (information Technology) Pvt Ltd which made training software for children and adult learners, and customized solutions that highlighted the investment opportunities of various Indian states. There, he got the opportunity to be the spokesperson for India at the United Nations where he made a presentation on ‘Information Technology and Developing Countries’. He then worked as V.P. - Business Development at Nucleus Software and later returned to entrepreneurship with Compare Infobase where he envisioned and executed the idea of mapsofindia.com.
